InkMixers Pop Quiz: How well do you know color mixing? Guess the Pantone colors
4/29/2019 by Imri Merritt aka M
Everyone loves colors, I know I do. And everyone has their favorite color, as I’m sure you do. But how much do you know about mixing colors?
It’s what we do all day every day here at RushOrderTees, and our buddies InkMixers have a whole Instagram about it called The InkLab. Luckily for us, there’s a set formula for every color we need to make. But my colleague Dan Leer wondered: what if we had to eyeball it?
I guessed it would become a guessing game. So naturally, I made a game out of it. (Spoiler alert: it’s not easy!)
How good do you think you are at predicting colors based on the mix ratios provided by Pantone?
Now is your chance to find out. I’ve put together a short, fun quiz to test your level of color mixing knowledge. You’ll have 30 seconds to guess each Pantone number out of multiple choices. There’s eight different mixes, and the correct answers will be provided as you go. And you do not need to know the Pantone Matching System to take this quiz.
At the end, you’ll get your score and a coupon code to receive 10% off your next order. Look for the little loop button with an arrow at the end– you can review the quiz to see the answers again.
Pro-tip: Pay special attention to the ratios given, rather than the image shown. Now let’s see how much you know!
Umm. Why are you still reading?
And look for parts 2 and 3 coming soon.
